Did a bit of laundry. Swept the floor. Fed the fish. Watered the house plants. Watered the flower beds. Filled the bird feeders. Washed a few dishes. Walked my loop. Walked around Swan Lake. Cycled up to Sun Wing Greenhouse. All Before Noon.
Crashed out for about 1.5 hours on the porch. I was reading "Stranger Music" by Leonard Cohen.
Made a salad of field greens, cucumbers, green onion and a bit of Caesar Dressing at about 1600h and wondered what the heck I was supposed to do with the rest of the day.
Played around with the derailleurs on my mountain bike for about an hour but, I'm going to have to take it in for a tune up. I cannot stand a bike with the chain clacking even ever so slightly on the derailleurs. But, when I get everything quiet the gears don't shift smoothly at all. On the flats it's not a huge deal, on hills (it's all hills here!) it can be frustrating at best and a disaster at worst...
In the end, I'm glad I was outside this morning. It was calm and soft and fragrant. By 1300h it had clouded over and started to rain. The rest of the day was changeable but non the less lovely. The front porch is a South facing, warm, sheltered spot to park the ass and if it rains a bit, no big deal.
Now, I can't believe its 2000h and how far away noon feels. I sort of got a lot accomplished considering there was nothing in particular that had to get done. And, I even got that nap in!
Peace,
Allan
